In 1971 MV "STEPHAN J" was the first vessel financed as a so called "KG-Modell". Private investors shared in equity of the vessel and were pleased for a good rate of return when the vessel was sold in 1980.
Thus, the Jüngerhans shipping company has 50 years experience in ship investments. During this time, over 1.7 billion euros have been invested in newbuilds and second-hand-tonnage of more than 120 ships. This makes the Jüngerhans shipping company one of the traditional and largest initiators of shipping investments.
Already 83 vessels have been sold after an average duration of abt. 9 years.
The base of the success is a business-policy acting in favor of the investors. By a high own share in all vessels of the fleet interests of the investors as well as those of the shipowner are warranted.
