Delivery of MV RIKE J ­ Launch of a New Generation of Vessels

We are delighted to announce the delivery of our newest container vessel, the MV RIKE J. This modern feeder ship, with a capacity of approximately 1,200 TEU, marks the beginning of a new class within our fleet and sets new standards in efficiency and design.

The MV RIKE J is the first vessel in a series built to an innovative new design. With the deckhouse positioned forward, the vessel provides an unobstructed view ahead and allows for increased deck cargo capacity.

A hydrodynamically optimized hull form and propulsion system ensure significantly reduced fuel consumption and a lower carbon footprint compared to previous generations of vessels – another important milestone in our ongoing commitment to more sustainable shipping operations.

In keeping with our long-standing tradition of naming vessels after family members or constellations, this newbuild proudly bears the name of Rike, daughter of our company’s managing owner Herm Jüngerhans – a symbol of the close bond between family and fleet.

Following successful sea trials and delivery, the MV RIKE J is now en route to Europe, where she will enter service in a feeder liner trade. The vessel will play an important role in rejuvenating our fleet and enhancing overall operational efficiency.

With the RIKE J, a new chapter begins in our company’s history – two additional vessels of this advanced design will follow in the months to come.
